sleep pretty darling, do not cry…

I never really understood the expression “sleep like a baby” after I had one.  I don’t know about you, but one creak of the floorboard & my babe woke right up… & then stayed up.  She wasn’t much of a sleeper, never took naps & had more energy than I ever thought possible in one small body.

After the birth of our second child, we discovered that if we put the central a/c on, the sound helped lull them both to sleep, & sometimes we could get back up & actually get some work accomplished.  That a/c was on even if there was a chill in the air.  (Fortunately, living in Key West, those were rare evenings).

Then we moved into a place without central a/c.   It was a thousand miles north of our previous home, why would it?  It was also beyond quiet…yet neither of the girls would fall asleep easily, or stay asleep, waking to the sound of our feet sneaking away & crossing over the creaky wooden floors.

That’s when THIS became our new best friend:

Let me tell you, I am SO NOT A FAN OF GADGETS or anything super-imposing for the REAL DEAL  but this gadget has been instrumental (no pun intended) in helping us ALL get some sleep.    It is the highest rated in all of the “sleep conditioner” reviews & made by a great company (Marpac) that’s been in the biz for over 40 years.

If you’re like most mammas, sleep is one of those things you don’t do so well without.  Most mamma’s don’t get enough.

It’s really hard to sparkle when the sleep meter’s on empty.  That’s why I picked this “thing you’ll love” first.

Sweet dreams, mamma.  You deserve every bit you can get.

xo

(please click here ( “stuff you’ll love: an introduction”  ) to see my stance on STUFF.  I promise I am NOT going to inundate you with a bunch of junk you really don’t need or won’t really love).

Inner grit & glitter.
